This educational presentation is part of a series that includes an in-depth review of the MDCs. Because of the large amount of content included in MDC-5 Diseases and Disorders of the Circulatory System, the medical and surgical sections have been broken down into two separate education presentations.
This education includes a review of each DRG within the MDC-5 surgical section with coding and query considerations for each and would be beneficial for training new CDI specialists and supporting experienced CDI specialists who have not had the experience of reviewing these types of patients.
