The Guidelines for Achieving a Compliant Query Practice Essentials for Clinical Documentation Improvement education provides an overview of the rules for a compliant query practice and includes some practical application guidelines.
The learner will gain an understanding of the importance of knowing these guidelines to ensure protection during audits by internal auditors, payers, and the Office of the Inspector General. The learner will also be able to state the definition of a clinical indicator, where to find clinical indicators in the medical record and practical applications for the guidelines. Included are some tools for ensuring a compliant query.
