This education encourages clinical documentation specialists to read coding clinics in their entirety but offers a focus on selected coding clinics with potential for clinical documentation review and concurrent query impact in the third and fourth quarters 2021.
The third quarter coding clinic includes mild cognitive impairment, non-infective gastroenteritis and colitis, anemia due to chemotherapy, and more.
The fourth quarter coding clinic includes updates to the general coding guidelines and chapter-specific guidelines and a new codes review.
